When and where to vote

Register by
Tuesday, October 6, by mail or in person. Online registration at RegistertoVote.NV.gov stays open through Tuesday, October 20, and you'll still get a mail ballot. After that you can register online or at any voting site through Election Day, but you must vote in person.
Early voting
Saturday, October 17 to Friday, October 30, at any early voting site in the county. Most sites run 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., later on the last day; city halls and a few others keep shorter hours and some close on October 30 for Nevada Day. Sites and hours.
Election Day
Tuesday, November 3, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., at any of more than 100 vote centers in the county. You don't have an assigned polling place.
Mail ballot
Every active registered voter gets one automatically. If yours hasn't arrived by October 16, call (702) 455-8683. Sign the return envelope. If you mail it, it must be postmarked by November 3 and arrive by 5 p.m. on the fourth day after the election.
Drop boxes
Every early voting site and Election Day vote center takes mail ballots during voting hours. The Election Department, 965 Trade Dr., North Las Vegas, takes them every day 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from October 10 to November 2, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day.
Bring
Most Nevada voters don't need ID. If your sample ballot label says "ID Required," bring a photo ID, or you'll vote a provisional ballot. If you register at the polls, bring a Nevada driver's license, state ID card or tribal ID; if it doesn't show your current address, also bring proof of address such as a utility bill or lease.
