Ballot questions

Yes or no

We describe these and don't make recommendations. Both are constitutional amendments that voters approved in 2024; Nevada requires a second yes vote in 2026 before an initiative amendment takes effect.

  • Question 6: Puts a right to abortion in the Nevada Constitution, without interference by state or local government, when performed by a qualified health-care professional up to fetal viability, or later when needed to protect the life or health of the pregnant patient. Abortion is already legal in Nevada up to 24 weeks by state law. It passed with 64% yes in 2024. A yes vote adds the right to the constitution; a no vote leaves it in state law only.
  • Question 7: Requires voters to show photo ID when voting in person, and to give the last four digits of their driver's license or Social Security number when voting by mail. It passed with 73% yes in 2024. A yes vote adds the requirement to the constitution; a no vote leaves it out.

Early voting
Saturday, October 17 to Friday, October 30, at any early voting site in the county. Most sites run 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., later on the last day; city halls and a few others keep shorter hours and some close on October 30 for Nevada Day. Sites and hours.
Election Day
Tuesday, November 3, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., at any of more than 100 vote centers in the county. You don't have an assigned polling place.
