Who is running in Prairie Village, Kansas in 2026

Prairie Village Mayor
Inga Selders and Cole Robinson

Prairie Village elections

The mayor's race is nonpartisan.

Mayor

Vote for one

Two council members, both decent. The big split is the new city hall: Robinson voted for the bond-financed project, and Selders wanted voters to decide. In 2023 the council dismissed ethics complaints against both of them over housing recommendations.

Inga Selders

Seems like good people

Council member, Ward 2, since 2020; government relations work on cannabis policy

Founded the city's Diversity Committee. Opposed tearing down church property for a new city hall, and backed requiring a public vote before the city borrows by issuing bonds.

Cole Robinson

Seems like good people (best choice in this race) Center-left

Council member, Ward 1, since 2021; commodities trader and campaign consultant

Voted in 2025 for the $30 million city hall and municipal complex, financed with bonds and no separate public vote. Endorsed by the county Democratic Party, Laborers' Local 1290 and Run for Something.
